Hostellerie La Butte aux Bois is situated in the heart of the Euregion, only 5 kilometres from Maastricht, in the rolling landscape shaped by the river Maas in Limburg.
The caste, initially intended as a residence, was built in 1924 by 'Ridder' (Sir) Lagasse de Locht and in the eighties and nineties, the Bullens family transformed it into a stylish hotel with luxurious hotel rooms, a restaurant, spacious conference rooms, winter gardens and large terraces.
The transformation of the domain was completed in 1996 with the opening of the "Aquamarijn" Beauty Centre, an exclusive Shisheido Beauty Centre with a swimming pool, a Turkish bath, a sauna and a whirlpool.
